I enjoyed reading your blog post and it sounds like you have learned a lot from being a camp leader! I love that your post outlines the benefits that can come from teaching, as well as the importance of working to understand everyone’s needs. I now know that camp counselling is a lot more complicated than I originally thought, and that it involves a lot of learning for both the campers and the counsellors.
